We provide high quality immunohistochemistry lab services to pharmaceutical, medical device, and academic clients. Working in immunohistochemistry discovery services since 2002, we offer a menu of more than 350 optimized immunohistochemical stains on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded or fresh frozen tissue. The majority of these studies are performed on Leica and Dako automated immunostainers, and the lab is skilled in providing DNA and RNA in situ hybridization tests.
Unlike techniques that rely on homogenized or disaggregated samples, the results from slide-based techniques preserve the local tissue context. Cell types within tissues can be identified morphologically by our trained pathologists, or aided with a cell-type specific immunohistochemical stain.
We work carefully to standardize immunohistochemistry processes for down-stream whole slide image quantitation. We will also work to develop SOPs in discovery research settings that can then be transferred and validated at one of our CLIA Anatomic Pathology lab partners, under the supervision of specialized anatomic pathologists.
A fully comprehensive literature review is performed to select the most appropriate antibody for a given study, including discussion with our histologists and pathologists, as well as review of our existing optimized antibodies. We utilize a tumor bank of several hundred samples for postive and negative controls. Whole slide imaging and image analysis quantitation is integrated as part of our complete solution to tissue analysis.
We have industry leading expertise in the use of dual staining in brightfield immunohistochemistry, and have a large number of protocols developed.
